We are all dead until
Ephesians 2:1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. #Bible
We were all dead, born into this world dead, in our trespasses and sins.
We all followed the ways of this world, we were born into these bodies who’s only outreach to this world was through our bodily senses. As we grew we realized more and more of the temptations that sparked our desires and wants.
The prince of the power of the air was right there encouraging us in our lusts which caused us to be the sons of disobedience.
The mind through our fleshly desires made us by our nature or thought pattern children of wrath, sons of disobedience just like the rest of mankind.
But God delivered those who believe in Jesus into His Kingdom. We are no longer subject to the prince of this world. We have been transformed into the likeness and nature of Jesus, we are the sons and daughter’s of God. We are now alive because of Jesus, who paid the price for our trespasses and sins, with His Life, by the shedding of His blood, satisfied God, who said “the soil that sins will surely die.”
