Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. #Bible

The word “forgive” is so much greater in meaning than what I think. It has a vast amount of uses like, to go away, to let go, to divorce, etc.
The word “trespass” means a lapse or deviation from truth and uprightness, a sin or misdeed.
These two words, more than anything communicate the idea Jesus is covering every need for forgiveness in all kinds of trespasses. The importance is to not trespass and if so forgive all trespasses.
We need to understand our relationship with our Father in Heaven is affected, for the better or the worse.
Do you think it would determine how close we are walking with God? Forgiveness comes before forgetfulness of the trespass.
